How do I assign a new lease for abstraction?
Create the lease record
On the Create Lease page, enter a name for the lease, upload all of the associated lease files (lease, amendments, commencement letter, etc.), and click the Create Lease button.
Open the update request
On the Create Lease Update Request page, assign the lease update request (select Spacebase to assign the update to our abstraction team).
Describe the update request
Add a description of the update request in the Description field (e.g. “New Lease”).
Select the lease documentation
Select the lease documentation that you would like to include as part of the abstraction request.

Create a lease update request
Click on the Lease actions dropdown in the top right corner of the lease page and select Create Lease Update Request.
Assign the request to Spacebase
Assign the lease update request (select Spacebase to assign the update to our abstraction team).
Associate any open lease issues
If the lease has any lease issues that should be closed out by the lease update request, select those issues in the Associated lease issues section.
Attach the new documents
Upload or select the new lease documents that you would like to include as part of the update request.
