Open the assistant
Click the Agent button in the top navigation bar to open the assistant. It slides out from the right side of the screen and stays available as you move around the product.- Type your question in the message box (Message the AI…) and send it.
- Press Esc or click outside the panel to close it.
- On mobile, the assistant expands to full screen.
What you can ask
The assistant can:- Search and filter leases — Find leases by name, region, property type, or status.
- Look up lease details — Pull financials, dates, contacts, areas, and more for any lease.
- Track critical dates — Surface upcoming expirations, renewals, and rent adjustments.
- Analyze expenses — Pull expense records, spot spending patterns, and convert between currencies.
- Explore accounting impact — Understand how a lease affects your balance sheet and income statement, and walk through modification scenarios.
- Search documents — Find specific language or clauses in your uploaded lease documents.
- Build data tables — Return formatted tables of your lease data that you can download.
- Answer product questions — Search the Spacebase help articles for how-to answers.
Tag a specific lease
To point the assistant at one lease, type @ in your message. A menu of your leases appears — choose one to tag it, and the assistant focuses its answer on that lease.Download reports
When you ask for a report or a table, the assistant can attach a CSV file directly in the chat. Generated files are saved to the conversation, so you can return to them and download them later.Citations
When the assistant references one of your documents, it includes a citation link back to the source. Click it to open the document at the relevant page.Providing feedback
After each response, the assistant shows a thumbs-up and a thumbs-down button. Use them to tell us whether the answer was helpful. The AI Assistant is a new feature that we refine continuously, and your ratings help us improve it — the more feedback we receive, the better it gets.
